Reag Investimentos has completed the acquisition of 25% of Confrapar, a private equity firm specializing in technology and high-growth businesses in Latin America. This operation marks Reag’s first foray into the segment, continuing a series of acquisitions and strategic partnerships made by the group in recent years, such as those with wealth management firms Rapier Investimentos and Quadrante Investimentos.

‘The partnership with Confrapar allows us to add a new dimension to our investment offerings,’ says Dario Tanure, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Reag Asset & Wealth Management. The company manages approximately R$ 200 billion in assets.

Confrapar’s investment portfolio includes 30 companies, such as UCB Power in the battery segment, drone manufacturer Xmobots, and the ticket sales platform Ingresse. The firm manages around R$ 1 billion in assets and has an international presence, with offices in Mexico, as well as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte.

New Fund Aiming for $250 Million

Currently, Confrapar is launching its fourth investment fund, aiming to raise $250 million for investments in tech companies in Latin America. ‘Reag’s strategic and financial support is crucial for the success of this venture,’ says Kadu Guillaume, partner at Confrapar.

The strategic investment also allows Reag to appoint a representative to Confrapar’s Board of Directors, as well as to support the expansion and future initiatives of the management company, which will continue to operate independently.
