Ingresse, the leading platform in ticket sales for events and entertainment in Latin America, takes another step forward in online payment sector innovation by adopting the “click to pay” system. This move, made in partnership with financial sector giants like Visa, Mastercard, Banco do Brasil, and Bradesco, as well as the acquirer Adyen, places Ingresse in the spotlight by offering its users a quicker and more secure purchasing experience.

Officially launched on February 21, 2024, “click to pay” represents a revolution in how consumers make online payments. With a “massive and automatic” registration of credit card data, the technology promises to eliminate the need for manual virtual cards, facilitating the checkout process in online purchases. This advancement is particularly significant for Ingresse, which strives to provide a frictionless shopping experience, improving public access to events and entertainment.

The initiative, led by Abecs, an association that brings together card issuers in Brazil, aims to standardize the adoption of this technology across the sector, ensuring that all issuers, brands, and retailers are aligned. In addition to Visa, Mastercard, Banco do Brasil, and Bradesco, companies such as Amex and Santander are also expected to join the system in the coming months.

Beyond directly benefiting consumers, Ingresse’s inclusion in this pioneering project reinforces its commitment to innovation and service excellence. With investments from Confrapar, Ingresse not only sells tickets but also collects valuable behavioral data that enables event producers to establish better relationships with their audiences, enhancing revenue.

The expansion of “click to pay” to include debit cards, expected in the first half of 2024, promises to further broaden the possibilities for consumers and retailers, solidifying Ingresse’s position as an innovative leader in the event and entertainment market in Latin America.
