Brazil surpasses 1,000 bizjets and becomes 2nd largest market

Brazil is now flying high on the global stage. According to a survey by Flapper, the country has just surpassed the milestone of 1,000 registered business jets — consolidating its position as the second-largest private aviation market in the world, behind only the United States.

This places Brazil ahead of major countries like Mexico, Canada, and Germany, and highlights the fast pace of growth in the executive aviation sector. In just five years, Brazil was the country that added the most private jets to its fleet.

Data from May 2025 shows:
🇺🇸 United States: 16,570 jets
🇧🇷 Brazil: 1,033
🇲🇽 Mexico: 698
🇨🇦 Canada: 684
🇩🇪 Germany: 445

The surge in aircraft numbers reflects not only increased demand for air mobility among businesspeople, politicians, and investors, but also the maturing of the air taxi market in the country.

Flapper, a global on-demand aviation platform, is one of the key players in this movement. Headquartered in Brazil and Portugal, with offices in strategic hubs around the world, the company has transported over 30,000 passengers while maintaining impeccable safety standards in the industry.

The current scenario reinforces Brazil’s role as an executive aviation hub in Latin America and reflects a growing consumer behavior among high-level executives and affluent families: avoiding commercial airports and saving time in the air.
