XMobots has received certification from Brazil\u2019s National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) for the Nauru 100D, a Brazilian-developed unmanned aircraft system designed for Defense and Security applications. The certified model is the ISR version, intended for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. It is authorized to operate at ranges of up to 30 kilometers and altitudes of up to 6,000 feet above sea level, by day or night, subject to the conditions established by the regulator.<\/p>\n

The certification process drew on requirements from Brazilian civil aviation regulations, including RBAC-E 94 and RBAC 100. According to the report, the authorization does not require the aircraft to remain above controlled ground areas, broadening its potential use in monitoring large territories, rural regions, public security, defense, surveillance, and search-and-rescue missions. The approval is a significant regulatory milestone for XMobots and supports wider institutional and commercial deployment of the platform.<\/p>\n

Weighing 9 kilograms, the Nauru 100D can be assembled and prepared for operation in up to three minutes. Its standard kit includes three batteries, each providing up to two hours of flight time, enabling missions lasting as long as six hours when the batteries are used sequentially. The system is carried in two operational backpacks that also serve as a command-and-control station and a battery-charging station. Its modular architecture supports different sensors, including an electro-optical configuration combining RGB and thermal infrared cameras, as well as onboard capabilities for detecting and tracking people and vehicles, reading license plates, and supporting location operations.<\/p>\n

The certification applies specifically to the current ISR configuration. Other developments mentioned in the report\u2014including a UCAV version designed for Defense applications involving munitions and the Swarm concept for coordinated operations by multiple aircraft\u2014remain under development and are not covered by the announced approval. Based in S\u00e3o Carlos, Brazil, XMobots has approximately 500 employees, including more than 250 engineers, and develops aircraft, avionics, software, sensors, artificial intelligence, communications, and mission systems in-house.<\/p>\n
