Reag Investimentos has completed the acquisition of 25% of Confrapar, a private equity firm specializing in technology and high-growth businesses in Latin America. This operation marks Reag’s first foray into the segment, continuing a series of acquisitions and strategic partnerships made by the group in recent years, such as those with wealth management firms Rapier Investimentos and Quadrante Investimentos.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

‘The partnership with Confrapar allows us to add a new dimension to our investment offerings,’ says Dario Tanure, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Reag Asset & Wealth Management. The company manages approximately R$ 200 billion in assets.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Confrapar’s investment portfolio includes 30 companies, such as UCB Power in the battery segment, drone manufacturer Xmobots, and the ticket sales platform Ingresse. The firm manages around R$ 1 billion in assets and has an international presence, with offices in Mexico, as well as S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

New Fund Aiming for $250 Million<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Currently, Confrapar is launching its fourth investment fund, aiming to raise $250 million for investments in tech companies in Latin America. ‘Reag’s strategic and financial support is crucial for the success of this venture,’ says Kadu Guillaume, partner at Confrapar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The strategic investment also allows Reag to appoint a representative to Confrapar’s Board of Directors, as well as to support the expansion and future initiatives of the management company, which will continue to operate independently.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
